The MALINNA° mission is a minimalist, yet functional skincare routine for the entire family. We resisted creating a children’s cosmetics line for a long time. However, based on our customers’ feedback and our own experience, we realized MALINNA° children’s skincare products would make life easier for us and our customers too. We believe that our new children’s skincare line meets the high standard for what child cosmetics and child skincare should be. We are also excited to have the opportunity to bring a childlike playfulness into our product design, for your enjoyment, but especially for the enjoyment of the children.
MALINNA° Kids Body Balm
Kids Body Balm is the purest children’s balm made from hand-selected natural ingredients that support children’s sensitive skin and its unique needs. Like all MALINNA° products, it is made using our unique processing method with botanical oils and no emulsifiers or preservatives. Kids Body Balm is not as concentrated as adult MALINNA° products to meet the needs of children’s delicate skin. It protects their developing skin microbiome, regenerates the skin, and strengthens its defense while lovingly caring for the skin of children of all ages.
Ingredients
The base of Kids Body Balm is handmade organic cocoa butter, known for its beautifully rich cocoa smell and unique benefits that protect the skin microbiome. The unique composition of lipids in cocoa butter strengthens the top layer of the skin, prevents skin dehydration, and protects against the penetration of toxins and pathogens, resulting in healthy skin overall.
Chamomile essential oil is considered the king of oils for its many benefits. It is suitable for eczema, dermatitis, skin irritation, redness, and supports wound healing with its anti-inflammatory effects. It is one of the few essential oils that is suitable from birth.
Sea Buckthorn oil is bursting with a wide spectrum of vitamins. It contains up to 10 times more vitamin C than citrus fruits. It promotes scar healing and protects against the thinning of the skin.
Karanja oil is a rare oil from India, rich in oleic acid. It has significant moisturizing and antibacterial effects. Due to its high vitamin E content, it benefits the skin’s defense system and supports the healing of damaged skin.
We add Neem oil to the cream for its strong anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties.
Sea salt from the island of Nin — Nin is a place known for skin healing. Nin salt is sustainable, therapeutic, and biodynamic. It is created in a diverse marine microbiome that is home to the healing Nin mud. The entire collection and processing method is manual. Further processing allows a unique combination of minerals from the salt to be released into a creamy substance for skin care.
What makes MALINNA° Kids Body Balm unique:
- Kids Body Balm is not a cream. Baby creams and body milks usually contain 60-85% water, which requires the use of emulsifiers and preservatives, even in natural cosmetics.
- Kids Body Balm is not a body butter. There are many pure cocoa or shea butters available on the market without preservatives, suitable for sensitive children’s skin, but they are often difficult to spread. Kids Balm is very easy to spread thanks to its fine texture.
- Kids Body Balm is more concentrated than ordinary children’s cosmetics (with approx. 30% water content). That’s why applying just a small amount to wet skin (for example, after a bath) is enough and lasts a long time. The practical airless pump comes in handy for application and protects the cream from oxidation.
- The natural ingredients and their positive effects are selected in such a way that they work in harmony, for truly holistic care for the protection of sensitive children’s skin.
- While our adult creams are highly concentrated (contain only 10% water), the children’s creams are much gentler and respect the needs of their delicate skin microbiome.
MALINNA° Kids Body Foam
A key feature of MALINNA° Kids Body Foam is its silky-smooth foamy texture. We achieve this by using all-natural saponins and no synthetic foaming agents. This is key for gentle cleansing of children’s skin. Body Foam was designed with children’s skin microbiome and overall skin health in mind. Repeated use of synthetic foams, contained in many baby foams, can disrupt a child’s developing skin barrier. That’s why it’s important for us to create a product that meets the unique skincare needs of children.
Kids Body Foam is based on our best-selling Cleansing Foam. MALINNA° Kids Body Foam contains a smaller amount of essential oils and mainly contains essential oils that are suitable for young skin from birth. We believe that children will love the cutely illustrated, round bottle that fits their hands. We also listened to parents and offer Body Foam in a family-sized package of 500ml so that it lasts longer.
Ingredients
The foundation of MALINNA° Kids Body Foam are oils known for their wide range of positive effects on the skin.
Neem and Karanja oil are both rich in fatty acids, limonoids, vitamin E, triglycerides, calcium, and antioxidants.
Argan oil has excellent soothing properties. It is suitable for sensitive, irritated, or dry children’s skin, as well as eczema.
Olive oil is rich in vitamins A, D, K, and E. It also contains other bioactive substances like polyphenols and antioxidants, which together contribute to a positive effect on our skin.
Mandarin essential oil has the playful scent you’ve come to love in our limited-edition products. It is gentle enough to care for baby skin and is contained in our new baby foam. It is also used in aromatherapy for its calming, relaxing effects, making it an ideal oil to use during the evening skincare routine.
